UNFOLD | EYAS Intensive LAB

Where your transformation takes a spotlight

5-9 August

Polideportivo de Benimaclet

Carrer de Daniel Balaciart, s/n, Benimaclet, 46020

València, Spain

Immerse yourself in the universe of EYAS Dance Project for 5 days and enhance your creativity in our first summer intensive laboratory. Members of the company will guide the EYAS improvisation and repertory classes, while we connect with the pleasure of dancing. We will also delve into creative tools for your interpretation, your improvisation and your creations.

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

Each day begins with a class where we dive into the framework of Sensorial Improvisation. Using rich imagery and deep listening to the body, we go beyond our habits to discover new tools and unleash our imagination. We then build on the research in EYAS repertory sessions taught by members of the company, followed by choreographic LAB sessions, where we cultivate our inner creator and explore choreography and composition.

On Friday we will wrap up the week with a session of “Dance as a door to trance”, to open our senses. The session will be led by artists Sybila Gutiérrez and Itxa Sai (Venérea collective), followed by a final live jam session together with DJ Itxa Sai.

Our goal at UNFOLD is to mentor dancers in a motivating environment, to create meaningful experiences for them while honing their creativity and confidence for the ever demanding and transforming professional dance world, where dancers are more often co-creators.

With years of expertise as creators and teachers, we aim to share our experience and fantasy, guiding dancers to dive into a multilayered creative world, expanding horizons and harnessing creative tools to integrate in their dancing, research and creations.

Don’t miss this unique opportunity to accelerate your transformation.
