Seth Buckley

Artistic director | Choreographer

Seth Buckley, born in Canada, trained in classical ballet until he graduated from the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School’s professional division. He then studied one more year as a guest student in Dresden (Germany), at the Palucca Hochschule für Tanz and has since danced with The Guests Company Yuval Pick, in Lyon (France) and with The Saarländisches Staatstheater, under the direction of Stijn Celis, in Saarbrücken (Germany).

In 2015, he joined the contemporary dance company Gerhart Hauptmann Theater Görlitz-Zittau / weedancecompany (Germany), under the direction of Marko E. Weigert and Dan Pelleg, where he danced for 3 years. In 2018, Seth moved to Spain where he works with choreographers such as Mario Bermúdez (Marcat Dance), Gustavo Ramírez and Judith Argomaniz (LASALA).

​​​Seth is a founding member and co-artistic director of the EYAS Dance Project. In March 2019, he was awarded second prize at the 23rd Internationales Solo Tanz Theater Festival Stuttgart, with the piece Onírico. That same year, Onírico was selected in the finals at the Choreographic Competition MASDANZA and at the Tetuán District Choreographic Competition. In 2022 he was nominated in the category for ‘best male dancer’, for his performance in Onírico, at the 2022 Valencian Performing Arts Awards.
